I love the cute little potted gardens popping up around every corner in Tokyo. Don't you?
My mum has the sweetest little veggie patch at her home complete with tomatoes, strawberries, two types of cucumbers and a selection of herbs. I, on the other hand, have a collection of dead and half dying plants left over from the time I went out and spent $250 at the nursery in attempt to create my own Tokyo potted garden.
Today my mum visited and set about sharing some of her gardening tips with me. Together we took cuttings from some of the more alive looking plants and planted them in the unhappiest looking pots. Later my boyfriend came along with the watering can. If in time, we have successfully raised these cuttings, I will secretly know it was because of the love and care from the three of us. Fingers crossed!

Today is White Day in Japan. One of my most favourite days in the year. Marking the date one month following Valentines Day, White Day is the day that males are able to (or obliged to!) return gifts (usually white chocolate) to the females whom they received Valentines presents from. l hope you receive some white chocolate today!
Anyone who knows me well will know that these images (above) are the inspiration for my wedding! Not that I am planning one at the moment! But if I was, Rebecca Thuss would be the first place I'd visit. So...all you bridezilla's out there - click away! An ex-Martha Stewart Weddings Style Director can't be wrong! Below are some gorgeous things Rebecca has created.
Oh dear! I only just heard the news. Little Yoshitomo Nara was arrested for graffiti and criminal mischief the night before his solo show opening in NYC. In jail the poor petal had to swap his onigiri and chu-hi's for peanut better sandwiches and milk, which he optimistically described as "a nice experience in my life," saying it was "like in the movies". Bless him!
