Harvest Workroom

Hello Sandwiches!

I'm here at Harvest Workroom now for my artist residency! It's really incredible and I'm having so much fun! The girls at Harvest are just the sweetest ever. I've considered trying to make them employ me so I can stay ha ha!

I'm getting a bit more settled now, I've mastered the tram system (at least enough to get to Harvest and back) (no more embarrassing moments trying to scan my Myki card on the paper tickets maching - urgh!) and have successfully ordered a 'pot' of beer. It's been great eating delicious organic western food, drinking green Kale smoothies each morning and drinking delicious coffee. One cafe near my residency has a sign on it's door saying "No Bloggers" though!!! mean!

They have a great selection of mismatched mugs. There's a Ken Done one I try and snag everyday (you might have seen it on my instagram maybe?). It's not going to be easy to leave this place!

Nawwww. The girls have left me so many sweet art supplies. As I'm working away they bring out more goodies for me to use.

Hello Sandwiches!

By now I am sure you know how much I love Martha Stewart craft products - in particular the punches! I used soooo many Martha Stewart punches in my new Japanese craft book! Following on from my Tokyo Martha Stewart demonstrations, I've been asked to host demonstrations at the Melbourne AGHA Home & Giving fair by the lovely team at Zoratto Enterprises.

The AGHA Home & Giving Fair is a trade only event but if you are in the industry please come along and say hello and enjoy using some Martha Stewart punches!

I'll be there at stand A46 from 4th August - 7th August.

Some letter holders in my new book made using Martha Stewart punches thanks to Entre Square Aoyama!

If you love Martha Stewart you can buy the products through Zoratto Enterprises in Australia and Entre Square in Japan.

Enjoy!

mt School Shikoku

Hello Sandwiches!

Last week I was in Shikoku for the mt school! The school was held at the super cute Umie cafe. I held three workshops there (the mt team put one one extra workshop because the intial two were sold out quickly because mt is so popular!) and mt also had a little Hello Sandwich craft exhibition with items made using mt.

Umie cafe is set by the water in a lovely ivy covered shed-like building. Each morning I would ride up from my hotel and park my car in the underneath section, walk up the mt taped stairs and get working on the workshops. It was pretty incredible for me to be travelling in beautiful Shikoku thanks to my favourite brand mt!

There was a lovely mt pop up shop filled with the complete range of mt tapes, but also selling some limited edition tapes and mt wrap. I stocked up on the shocking pink limited edition wrap!

It was a real surprise to me to have flown over from Tokyo, to this cute little town of Takamatsu, only to find my funny odango face on posters stuck up around the venue!

The cute mt van had also come along to the party!

Umie cafe had a very special mt school menu including this lovely pink freckle cake!

Down the road from Umie, the mt fun continued at Ao. The exhibition space here housed many works made using mt tape, a mt free station where you could freely use any of the mt tapes, and you could also order refreshing summer drinks including belinis and relax looking out at the sea view.
