A special thanks to Hiki-chan who suggested visiting Tofukiji Temple while in Kyoto. To be honest, I thought I'd be okay if I didn't see any temples this time in Kyoto, having visited most of them a few times before, but this temple was so beautiful and relaxing, I'm so happy I could experience it. It was a nice break too, from the 1000 of cafes I wanted to visit!

You can see how beautiful Tofukuji looks in Autumn here. (While you listen you might also like to break out into your best Rhumba like dramatic latin dancesport dance like I may, or may not have).

Happy weekend Sandwiches!

わー! It snowed the other day in 下北!とてもきれいでした!It was so beautiful!

My lovely 日本語の先生's prediction was right. Just as you think it's getting warmer and that winter is on it's way out, it starts to snow! Secretly I was so happy. Coming from Sydney where it never snows, it's so beautiful and fun for me. I was standing on my balcony squealing 'there's snow on me! there's snow on my arm!' ha ha. Can you tell from my snow excitement that I've only be living in Tokyo for almost a year!

And when I went for a walk in the morning I saw three snowmen!

Hello Sandwich VOGUE Living Ten Favourite Things

Hello Sandwiches!

I think I'm about to go on an explanation mark frenzy!

The lovely VOGUE Living have interviewed Hello Sandwich for their Ten Favourite Things page and it's on sale tomorrow!!!

It's quite unbelievable for me that I'm on this page as for years at the VOGUE Living art desk whilst designing this page each issue I would playfully imagine what my top ten things would be. Once, I even made a mock 'Ten Faves Page' for my dear friend Richard Waller (former VOGUE Living Deputy Editor and current Editor of Inside Out Magazine) on his birthday. His 'mock' (but secretly true) ten favourite things included Pol Roger Champagne and blue moon roses! So it's quite crazy for me to see myself on this page!

The cover of the new VOGUE Living looks so beautiful! I can't wait to receive my copy! It always makes me miss my old job when I receive the issue in the mail though (sob sob).

Thank you so much David and the VOGUE Living team! I miss you all so much! Thank you so much for your Sandwich support! xoxo

The super cute music is by Nagoya based Lullatone. They've just released a new album called 'Elevator Music'. It's so cute! You can download it here.

It's a long weekend here in Japan, and I'm off to Kyoto! Weeee. Have a lovely weekend.
